what he could not say now drips
onto the still floor

a body too full
to hold the unspoken word—
blue finds its own way

I forgot the way—
water no longer answers
skin still keeps its ache

I no longer keep the fault
just the tide it left

thank you for the blue—
even falling has no floor,
still, I learned to swim
