About the artist
Davide Degano (b. 1993) grew up in Udine, in the Friulian foothills of north-east Italy. Dance began at Axis Danza in Udine; at fifteen Davide left to study in Florence and then Rome, and at twenty enrolled at PNSD Rosella Hightower in Cannes. Since 2014 Germany has been home: first the ensembles of Theater Pforzheim and Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, then freelance work with companies including SHIBUI collective, XX Tanztheater, Neuer Tanz, Billinger & Schulz, Theater Bonn and Tanztheater Katja Erdmann-Rajski.
Alongside performing, Davide has made original work since 2016, as choreographer and composer. N/1, Eros, Forgotten Notions and Paesaggi brillanti, profumi dimenticati share a long preoccupation: the body as a vessel for memory.
Since 2020 Degano has also composed music for other choreographers, with scores presented in Italy, Germany and France, at venues including Orsolina28, Uferstudios Berlin, Kunsthafen Köln and TanzArt Festival. Upcoming are two new creations by Ermanno Sbezzo for Staatstheater Augsburg and Nationaltheater Mannheim.
I see no blues on the horizon, the first full-length work with concept, music and performance by Davide Degano, brings these paths together.
The piece is developed in an ongoing artistic and production partnership with Perypezye Urbane (Giuseppe Esposito and Giovanni Sabelli Fioretti)
