Eros
Eros - part of a shared evening commisioned by Pfalztheater.tanz

ABOUT THE WORK
Created for Pfalztheater.tanz (Kaiserslautern) as part of the evening "Six Words for Love," this piece delves into eros—love in its raw, lustful, and forbidden form. It explores the primal, sensual connections that often blur the lines between desire, temptation, and sin.

The performance begins with four dancers emerging from the shadows, their see-through costumes revealing glimpses of their bodies, creating a sense of playful provocation. Their movements tease the audience, mirroring the tension and allure of seeking connection in dimly lit spaces. The techno beat evokes the pulse of a nightclub—a place where inhibitions are shed, and the pursuit of physical intimacy overshadows the need for deeper emotional bonds.

As the piece progresses, lust takes center stage in an intense duet. The dancers challenge and entice one another, seeking the fulfillment of their desires through physical touch and connection. But as the energy builds and climaxes, a question lingers: was the encounter truly satisfying, or does it leave a void, a longing for something deeper, something unspoken?
